There's a bit of a story to be had inside the vault, as well. It may not be the longest or most detailed quest mod in the game, but it's another area worth exploring, and it's done with a particular twist that makes terror a main thematic element. Outcasts and Remnants is an interesting quest mod, specifically because it integrates well with many other quest mods out there, including the illustrious Project Valkyrie.
On its own, the mod offers around 20 hours of gameplay, which is definitely a major step up from many of its peers.
The mod has a main story that starts out at the B. It is recommended that gamers begin this quest after confronting Kellogg in the "Reunions" mission. This will auto-start the first mission of Outcasts and Remnants, for a little more immersion and sequencing.
Fusion City Rising introduces an entirely new underground city into Fallout 4 which is larger than Diamond City and features everything from a mall to a hotel, a university, and even a laundromat.
The mod offers hours of gameplay, with a main quest and multiple side quests thrown in for good measure. Other features include a brand new explorable vault, three new companions, new enemy factions to fight, and a story connection to Fallout 3 via a number of information terminals. It's recommended that players take their time to read these terminals in order to get the full effect.
Project Valkyrie is, without a doubt, one of Fallout 4's most ambitious quest mods to date. Not only does it attempt to one-up Bethesda's own DLC quest content, but it actually succeeds in many areas. Project Valkyrie isn't just a straightforward quest mod; it's an adventure with multiple endings depending on how it is played.
The mod consists of 20 quests that directly affect Fallout 4's main storyline. It's essentially an add-on to the main game that greatly expands how the story plays out. Players who have finished Fallout 4 a few times might be shocked to discover all of the new content that Project Valkyrie brings to the table. Derek started writing about video games at age 14 and went on to write for GamePro Magazine and several other prominent outlets. Also, if a mod has references to another mod, this other mod HAS to be listed in the load-order before the mod with the dependency.
If a mod is depending on something that is missing or listed later in the load-order, Fallout 4 will either not load those mods, load them with errors, or not even start.
Besides dependencies, some mods also edit the same data, and the load-order dictates which data takes priority. These "conflicts" can cause all kind of errors if the mods are not placed correctly. Having a correct load-order is absolutely necessary for the game to work with mods. If you didn't install all mods, but lets say, only installed the ones without a colored square, then you won't find all these items in your own load-order.
Whenever an item is "missing", just skip it, but keep everything else in the exact same order from top to bottom. I know it's tempting to have a program sort the whole thing, but unfortunately Loot isn't able to sort the list correctly. You can of course start by sorting with Loot, but then you NEED to correct the load-order yourself afterwards.
Don't worry. The next step will fix that. Note: If you start a new game, and the loading-screen seems to be stuck, just hit "Enter" a couple of times. This may happen because some of the mods show a splash-screen. When starting a new game, the splash-screen from mods sometimes doesn't show, even if active. This pauses the game from loading. Just hit "Enter" a couple of times, and everything will load properly.
Due to the vast amount of high resolution textures, it is highly recommended to compress the texture folder into ba2 files. Fallout 4 can read much faster from a ba2 archives, instead of loose texture files. Even if you play the game from a dedicated SSD, loading time and in-game texture streaming will be significantly faster when packed into ba2 archives. For this, you need the latest Archiver2 tool from Bethesda.
Unpack to anywhere you want. Note: This step should only be performed once you have installed all the mods you want to use. They are actually not errors.
It's just the tool indicating that a certain file won't be added to the archive. No textures will be left out. This only occur if a mod author for example left a photoshop files or forgot to remove a thumbnail. Files that actually shouldn't be in texture folder anyway. Stechkin APS. MP REX.
